Is it any wonder that these names are immediately thought of when it comes to strength. Karwoski, Gant, Schwarznegger. The reason is consistency. There are countless stories of how these guys used to do crazy things to never miss a training session. Arnold would break into the gym and train by candle light. Lamar Gant would do anything to ensure he made a training session. Whilst it would be a novel approach to think that noetic science would enable us to just w"will" for a particular lift and complete it but somehow I just can't see this completing the job. combine the iron will, the mental visualization and raw unadulterated consistency ensuring no matter what you don't miss a session, then and only then may you come close to been considered a genuine strength article.
So the next time you are thinking you might skip the next session cause your still a bit stiff from the other session or you didn't get much sleep last night cause your son kept waking you, think again, harden up and go lift. Who knows once your into it you may do something you hadn't done before, a new PR or an extra rep on a particular weight. You add these up over the years and then you may be doing things no other's thought possible.
