Recently I saw one of the best tweets I have seen for some time. It was a tweet from a guy who was pumped up because he recently had bought some supplements from Animal, Aninal Pak and Animal Rage. What made me laugh was that his photo was of an at best 75kg guy probably around 20 eating an ice cream. His tweet suggested how he was excited cause now he was going to get as they say "swole". I politely tweeted him to suggest he try lifting heavy and eating more and his reponse made me laugh even more. He said "It doesn't matter if I have 2500cal's or 5000cal's a day I can't put on weight". Immediately I thought to tweet him back and educate him on the fact that two bottles of pills will not help him put on weight but then I thought to myself, If you can't make a rational thought yourself then why should I help him! Whether that was right or wrong the thought that just pills of multivitamins and some pre work out stimulant would help him put on weight was ridiculous. Calories and heavy weights do this, even excessive anabolics and androgens won't help you put on extra size if your not fueling it with enough calories. Some supplements may provide a small incremental difference but despite what all of us would like to think, a bottle of pills is not going to do it for us, if they did we would all be guzzling the stuff and becoming jacked. Don't believe me, fine, check out what the experts in sports nutrition say:
