How do I do a barbell complex workout. Firstly all you need is an Olympic bar and a moderate weight. For example if you can powerclean say 80kg or more I recommend you load the bar with a 15kg plate each side for a total of about 50kg. If you are lifting less in the powerclean start with a 10kg plate either side for a total of 40kg. As you get stronger you will be able to use progressively heavier weight. You would now complete all the following listed exercises without stopping and without placing the bar on the ground in between each exercise. You will be exhauseted by the end of the first set. Try and complete 4 sets with a 3 - 5 minute rest between each set. Each set would be the following:
- 6 x regular deadlift
- 6 x stiff legged deadlift
- 6 x powercleans
- 6 x front squats
- 6 x push press
- 6 x good mornings
- 6 x back squats
